When studying the love and marriage prospects of a birth chart, the seventh house becomes the most important house. The strength of the seventh house and its lord gives detailed information about how happy or sad will the relationships be.

In the case of Sagittarius Ascendant, the seventh house is occupied by Mithun Rashi (Gemini Ascendant). Mercury which owns Gemini also rules over Kanya Rashi (Virgo) which falls in the tenth house. Mercury thus rules over the seventh house of relationships and the tenth house of professional success, social status and ruling powers.

The seventh house in any horoscope tells the story of relationships. The strength of the seventh house, and its lord gives an accurate assessment of how happy a person would be in his relationships with the opposite sex and also marriage.

In the case of Virgo rising, the seventh house is owned by Jupiter who also owns the fourth house. The fourth pertains to happiness, mother, vehicles and home. Cancer born people are highly emotional persons with an intuitive, perceptive and restless mind. They are very intelligent, bright and frugal with their money. If Saturn is strong the eighth house also becomes strong. Life span increases but so does the lack of money. The average partner will be talkative, above average height and may tend to stoop. Complexion will be darkish. The desire for perfection may wear down the relationship. 

For men Venus becomes the Karak or significator for marriage. She owns the fourth and eleventh houses and becomes a malefic. If strong the health will be adversely affected. If weak marriage will be without any physical pleasure. 

For female Cancerians, Jupiter becomes the Karak for marriage and his Mool Trikon Rashi falls in the sixth house. He is therefore unable to give his best results.

Remedy for males will consist of propitiation of Venus and Saturn with appropriate Mantr and Stotr. For females Jap of Saturn and Jupiter Mantras will prove very helpful.
