How To Delete Poverty, Misery and Sickness From The File Of Our Life. Part III

This book is about hundreds of ways which ancient realized masters have given us to become wealthy and prosperous. These are time tested over several thousand years. They work wonderfully well.

Sanskrit is a very precise language. Every word needs to be correctly pronounced. The cadence and rhythm of a verse is also important. Remember that we are producing vibrations and unwanted vibrations can delay results. For the convenience of the reader, every Mantra and Stotra given in this book will be available as a sound file from my website http://indian-Vedicastrology.com

When we are engaged in the process of manifesting prosperity through the use of pure energy, we are rising above the gross and the mundane towards sublime and profound. The more energy we have the better it will be. It is thus logical to have a second look at our energy reserves. Food is the basic source of our energy. Simple, nutritious and easily digestible food is very important as an energy source. Fruits, vegetables and grains are wholesome food and provide energy without straining the digestive system. Poultry and red meat should be avoided as the protein involved is very complex and body finds it hard to digest. The waste products of non-vegetarian diet are toxic to the body. That is why after a hearty dinner of red meat the morning breath is fouler the next day.

A diet consisting of steamed vegetables, cereals and fruit is best for the human body and cleanses the system as it makes its way through the digestive canal. Vegetarian diet is therefore a must when involved in manifesting prosperity. Alcohol fuddles the mind and blunts the keen edge of intelligence. It is for this reason absolutely prohibited during the process of producing wealth.

Sex is a very important part of our life. It keeps our mind and body healthy. It is a wonderful activity but it is very energy intensive. Medical science tells that we spend large resources of energy to enjoy it. It is therefore a good idea to abstain from it during our manifestation of prosperity. Celibacy of forty days actually improves our stamina and performance when we resume normal life.

In the east and especially in India, certain orders of monks take a vow of celibacy for life, and adhere to it. After twelve years of mental and Karmic discipline the Medha Nadi awakens in their body and gives them a wonderfully enhanced capacity to assimilate and perfectly recall copious amount of knowledge. This is how Vedic knowledge has been handed down through the ages in India.

These then are the basic requirements to start our journey towards wealth, power and prosperity.

In the next chapter we will take our first step towards a prosperous future.

How To Delete Poverty, Misery and Sickness From The File Of Our Life. Part I I

Continued from part 1 .......

Wealth, prosperity, a healthy body, good looks, good intellect and everything desirable are the fruits of good karma performed in the past. Wealth and prosperity thus boil down to augmenting the good karma and minimizing the bad to keep ahead of the curve. The Hindu way of prosperity generation tweaks karma through Chants, Mantras, Stotra, Yajna and Yantras.

The world that we live in and the universe that surrounds us on all sides are made of matter. Modern science tells us that matter is made of molecules, which in turn are made from atoms. Atoms are not the smallest entities known to man. There are a number of finer particles like protons, electrons and neutrons, which make an atom. These particles are not the ultimate building blocks of matter either. There are gluons, leptons, and muons etc, which appear and disappear as matter as a manifestation of energy. Science tells us that ultimately it is the energy, which creates the known universe. The matter that we are able to sense with our five senses is actually frozen energy.

I wouldn’t advise it but you could take a lump of enriched Uranium 235. It will appear very heavy and somewhat warm to the touch. If you took sufficient quantity of it and made it explode as an atom bomb, the mass of Uranium will be converted to a great deal of energy, which will do very interesting things to you and the environment. It will however prove that matter and energy are inter-convertible.

Having established that matter is frozen energy, we might want to look at energy itself a little more intently. The light from Sun, Moon, stars, light bulbs and every other source is energy. Heat is also energy. If you provide enough heat, most things will begin to glow and emit light. Sound of every type is energy as well. There is one fundamental similarity in all energies. They vibrate. The difference between different forms of energies is the rate at which they vibrate. So we can say with complete scientific certainty that vibration is the ultimate source of matter.

If we can produce right kind of vibration, we can produce right kind of results. This is the basis of all prosperity producing methods given in the Vedic or Hindu philosophy.

How can we produce the right vibration? Through our mouths of course. We can use sound energy to manifest anything we want. It takes some doing, but it can be done. All one needs is the right kind of language. Language thus becomes the tool with which to write the software, which produces a particular result that we want.

This is something we do as a routine. We write, print, compute, animate, take pictures and do a million other things with software every day. We use different instructional languages for the purpose and produce the results on our computer screen. The Vedic methods use Sanskrit or its derivative languages, and produce results in three dimensions. Results that we can consume, gloat over, bank or put in our pockets. It takes some time and some doing but beats backbreaking monotonous work hands down any day. Yes! it is perfectly possible to do nothing and yet produce wealth. The universe has super abundant energy and all we have to do is to learn how to harness it.

To be continued......

How To Delete Poverty, Misery and Sickness From The File Of Our Life. Part I

Ever since the time that man walked away from his cave and discarded his animal skin, spear and club, he has hankered after prosperity and its derivative – the social status. The three dimensional world that surrounds us is intimately linked to our five senses. Those who are able to gratify their senses at will are considered powerful and society looks up to them as leaders. No wonder then that attainment of money and power has become ultimate goals for all of us. (A very tiny minority is free from this temptation but this book is not meant for them, as they need none of it.)

Most of us however are not as wealthy as we would like to be. There is always one more need and one more bill to pay and not enough money in the bank to take care of it.

The reason why this happens forms the basis of one of the most ancient and complete philosophies ever known to man. From the same philosophy come the chants, rituals, Yantra and other measures that can remedy lack of money and happiness.

Many people believe that hard work and knowledge alone can make one wealthy and powerful. This may be true in some cases but a careful analysis will prove that it is an exception and not a rule. There are professors of management in universities all over the world who just make their paycheck and nothing more. Then there are millions of people spread all over the word who perform back breaking work for hours together but barely eke out a living.

Some people believe that there is a magical law of attraction and that all one has to do to attract prosperity is to focus on it all the time. This theory of attraction is unproven because very few people have demonstrably become wealthy by using it. While it is true that law of attraction works, it must be understood the context in which it functions. Bad Karma generated in past lives will relentlessly express itself. In the present incarnation it will attract such people and circumstances that will bring home the lesson of that bad karma. It is not possible to equal Bill Gate’ s wealth by law of attraction. One cant over draw from one’s Karma account, and no credit facilities exist there.

Perfectly healthy people die in an accident and chronically ill linger on in a painful existence for many years. Innocent people are thrown in jail and executed for crimes they did not commit while criminals roam free. These may be blamed on corruption and an unjust system which may be true, but whatever the reason the underlying cause is still the seed of the Karma brought forth from past life which is germinating now.

Our death is not the stop button on the video player of life. It is only a pause. A new DVD is inserted, the soul is born again in a new body and undergoes happiness or sorrow, wealth or poverty, good health or sickness etc in an endless cycle.

Wealth and prosperity Part II

This is the highly auspicious period of Navratra or nine nights. It is an annual event that occurs on the first Lunar date of the bright fortnight of Indian month Ashwin. This month roughly corresponds to the September-October period of Georgian calender. This period also marks the entry of Sun in the southern hemisphere of its path.

In Indian tradition this period is set aside for the worship of the female energy of the universe or the mother Goddess. We believe that the primal being emanates energy that condenses as matter and forms this visible universe. This manifestation of energy is called eternal mother - Adya Shakti - and is revered as Durga in Hindu mythology. Mother goddess destroys the negativity of the universe and keeps it pure.

Traditionally it is a period of fasting for eight days and feasting on the ninth. It is believed that any Mantra chanted during this period gives quick results. Whatever the Mantra and its aim, the success happens early.

Download from You Tube Shri Sookt and Maha Lakshmi Stotra.

A prayer to Ganesh is mandatory before starting anything desirable. It removes all obstacles and speeds up the process of achieving the desired goal.

May we all achieve what we honestly seek.

Wealth And Prosperity Chant Part I

Here is a powerful Mantra to generate wealth. It propitiates Kuber, who is the guardian of all the opulence available in the astral and physical worlds. In Hindu tradition, Kuber is the younger brother of Saturn and rules over North direction. He is the protector of the celestial wealth, and his blessings always bring in stupendous amounts of it.
Even if a horoscope has poverty producing Yog, this chant will reduce its impact. The mantra will bring wealth; it does not guarantee prosperity, which is a different concept. One thing is sure, if you are encountering financial challenges, the mantra will nullify these. The more you chant the better it becomes. Try it. Once it gets going you will be surprised how money keeps trickling in when you least expect it.

The grid
Whichever direction the numerals in the grid are added the sum always comes to be 72. There is an energy field generated when numerals are stacked up in nine squares. This is called a Yantra. The Mantra associated with the Yantra when chanted repeatedly generates the same energy field and boosts its power. The universe, both visible and invisible is basically nothing but energy. When it condenses, it produces matter in different forms. By harnessing the right frequency, any desired object can be attracted or produced. This is a scientific fact and irrefutable. The fission reaction in a nuclear device is the opposite of this process. It uses up matter and converts it into energy.
The Chant
Hreem and Kleem are Sanskrit words that describe the nurturing and enjoyment part of the universe. Shreem refers to its everlasting glory. This Mantra shows one sequence of these words that produces wealth. Another sequence like OM AEEM HREEM KLEEM CHAMUNDA-YE VICH-CHE  generates unimaginable power for the devotee. Modern science has yet to catch up with these sublime ideas but it is getting there. The best results are produced when one immerses oneself in the chant and becomes one with it. At that point wealth follows him.
I wish you wealth and opulence! Happy Chanting

Housing crisis in US – What is the prognosis? Part II

As Saturn moved further into Gemini he transited over ninth lord Sun on July 06, 2004. Sun rules over the ninth house in the US horoscope and represents religion, judiciary, law, international court of justice, foreign affairs, highly educated classes, science and technology. Saturn was influencing the ninth lord Sun as well as the ninth house. Jupiter was at that time transiting the ninth house. This brought about a public swing towards political right and conservatism. It was instrumental in making George Walker Bush the president of the US for a second term.
To complete the picture let us take a look at the transit effects of planets on US from the Moon Chart. All houses mentioned hereafter are counted from Moon.
Real estate is intimately connected to the general economy of the US. When the disposable income goes up people buy houses, when it goes down people look the other way. It is clear that for housing market to look up either the economy must start performing well, or the government should step in and help people by restructuring mortgages. Economy is not going to start performing in the near future because it is driven by consumers and they don’t have any money left.
Government is not going to step in to help people with sub prime interest rates because they have a bad credit history. Things will remain as they are.
Saturn will transit the eighth house for next thirty months and keep the economy destabilized. There might be small spurts of growth which will quickly vanish.
These will be caused by small, faster planets like Mercury, Venus and Mars. Jupiter’s transit remains adverse until May 03, 2010. He becomes favorable after that. No real growth is possible before that date. The growth will slowly accelerate and will be steady once Saturn leaves Virgo and enters Libra on November 16, 2011. A jolt to communication industry and wall street is possible around September 2011.
Truth is the first casualty in a crisis. Governments keep it hidden from the public in public interest. It is important to analyze closely what is going on and take steps to benefit from it.

Housing crisis in US – What is the prognosis? Part I

The US housing market went into a nosedive from the end of 2005 to the end of 2006. Even though the slump was the worst since 1982, initially it was explained away as of little consequence. The Commerce Department announced that the construction of new homes fell in January 2006 by 14.3%. Real estate prices fell in half of the nation’s major markets and home sales declined in forty states. Arizona, Florida, California, and Virginia had disastrous results. This was not all, the department of commerce also reported that 2006 saw a step increase in the number of vacant homes by 34% bringing the net figure to 2.1 million.

Things haven’t changed much since then. The inventories are up, the sales are down, and profits have eroded considerably. The aftershocks of the housing crash are being felt throughout the economy. Unemployment has grown and consumer spending has shrunk. The economy is in a stupor and refuses to wake up.

So the trillion-dollar question is what caused this?

Real estate and movement of planets have a direct relationship. Let us examine the movement of Saturn from July 2002 onward because this is where the genesis of the real problem is.

Saturn entered Gemini which is the seventh house from the ascendant in the horoscope of US and the fifth from the Moon. In a nation’s chart the fifth house represents amongst things, stock exchanges and birth rates. The seventh represents foreign policy.

A little bit of history
The September 11, 2001 attack on US had greatly rattled the economy. It was at this time that Alan Greenspan, a shrewd economist introduced low interest rates. It was a deliberate act to lure in unsuspecting borrowers who felt they could improve their stagnant wages by joining the housing gold rush. It was a calculated attempt to mask a deteriorating economy by expanding personal debt.

The Wall Street and the stock market were thus primed for a major thrust by Greenspan to suck in public money. The entry of Saturn into Gemini was to act as a trigger.
Saturn entered Gemini and crossed over Mars on July 29, 2002. Mars is the lord of the fifth house in US horoscope and represents speculation. Enron and World Com meltdown with the active connivance of the Wall Street were the direct results of this transit. These failures set the stage for further trouble, and lowered confidence in the economy.
Since seventh house represents foreign relations, Saturn’s transit also brought about the second Middle East war with Iraq. This added to inflationary pressures to hurt the economy even further.

Saturn transited over Venus (also placed in the 7th house) on July 23, 2003 and unemployment rate rose to 6.3% in July 2003. No surprises there as Venus rules over two houses the sixth and the eleventh of debts, injury, defense, labor and revenue.

Saturn first transited over Jupiter placed in the 7th house, on August 16, 2003, he became retrograde and transited over Jupiter for the second time on May 02, 2004. Jupiter rules over the general situation of the populace and land, buildings, agricultural farms and opposition party. It was the second transit of Saturn over Jupiter that caused the housing crisis.

On April 9, 2003, as Saturn entered Gemini, the combined aspect of the two planets fell on the 4th house in the nation's chart that deals with real estate and brought about profound long term changes in that sector.

Kal Sarp Yog. Really?

Kal Sarp Yog is mentioned very frequently these days and almost all problems connected to a chart are attributed to it. Stunted career growth, poverty, moodiness and lack of self confidence are all supposedly caused by it. It has become the receptacle for all miseries. Its remedial measures are rather expensive and include making offerings of a pair of silver serpents on a Shiv Ling.  It is a moot point who benefits more from these Poojas.
I started this article by researching through Maha Rishi Parashar’ s Brihat Parashar Hora Shastra. He is considered the father of Vedic astrology and his epic is the final arbiter of all astrological disputes. I found no mention of Kal Sarp Yog. Nowhere in this comprehensive work does he writes about it. So what is going on? To find out, please keep reading.
The information I was able to piece together on the web is given below.
1. Kaal Sarp Yog is formed when all the planets are situated between Rahu and Ketu.
2. Depending upon the placement of Rahu in 12 houses, 12 different kinds of Yog are formed.
3. These Yog are named after serpents from Hindu mythology.

4. This is the list. Anant Kal-Sarp Yoga, Kulik Kal-Sarp Yoga, Vasuki Kal Sarp Yoga, Padam Kal Sarp Yoga, Mahapadam Kal Sarp Yoga, Takshak Kal Sarp Yoga, Karkotak Kal Sarp Yoga, Shankhchud Kal Sarp Yoga, Ghatak Kal Sarp Yoga, Vishdhar Kal Sarp Yoga, Sheshnag Kal Sarp Yoga, Shankhpal Kal Sarp Yoga
5. Kal means death, and Sarp means serpent so Kal Sarp means death like agony.(I can’t figure out why)
6. If inauspicious planets like Mars and Saturn are placed on the opposite side of ‘Rahu’ and ‘Ketu’, then it is considered to be a partial Kal-Sarpa Yoga. Apparently this partial yoga is not as bad.
Its effects, I quote verbatim without changing even a comma. It is hilarious.
One gentleman says, ‘A person born under Kal Sarpa Yog passes through sufferings and agonies throughout the life. The Kal Sarpa Yog is formed when all the planets are situated between Rahu and Ketu. Kal Sarpa is of 288 types Few of them are Karkotak Kal Sarp Dosh, Ekdant. The effect of each one varies. Hence a detailed and thorough analysis is to be conducted to demarcate its effect.’
Another adds, ‘The native having Kal Sarp Yog suffers from mental unrest, hurdles in gain of wealth, barriers in having children and uninterrupted disputes in married life. Usually the native sees bad dreams and there is danger of sudden death. Different fears and worries persist.’
Here is another Gem
If rest seven planets come  in between Rahu & Ketu then it is no good. The person who takes birth in Kal Sarp Yog suffers from various problems like child problems, loss in business, family problems etc. Rahu is known as snack and Ketu is its tail. All planets comes under the execs of Rahu & Ketu because of which Kal Sarp Yog is formed in horoscope.
This Kal Sarp Yog can be formed in any person's horoscope and those who have Kal Sarp Yog in their horoscope, inspite of having all kind of facilities they will always suffer from tension, fear, insecurity. Just like a person bitten by snake cannot sit comfortably similarly a person who has Kal Sarpa Yog in his horoscope always fear from death.
One savant even gives its duration

Rahu in 1st house: Kal Sarp Dosha effect lasts up to 27 years of age.
Rahu in 2nd house: Kal Sarp Dosha effect lasts up to 33 years of age.
Rahu in 3rd house: Kal Sarp Dosha effect lasts up to 36 years of age.
Rahu in 4th house: Kal Sarp Dosha effect lasts up to 42 years of age.
Rahu in 5th house: Kal Sarp Dosha effect lasts up to 48 years of age.

Rahu in 6th house: Kal Sarp Dosha effect lasts up to 54 years of age.
And here are some remedies for this Yoga
  • One must perform Nag Dosh Nivaran Pooja so as to keep away from the malefic effect of Rahu. Feed ants and fishes.
  • Wear Nag Yantra or Bhairon Yantra on your body.
  • Observe fast on Nag-Panchmi day.
  • Donate pulses to beggars on 43 Wednesdays.
  • Chant Om Namaha Shivaye' 1,25,000 times, before Maha Shivaratri every year
  • Apparently Kal Sarp Yog also makes women unable to have children, because one expert writes, 'For getting progeny, women are advised to circumambulate a Banyan tree daily 108 times, till 38000 rounds are completed.' That would take 352 days of non stop temple visits.
  • One gentleman pitches for Special Kal Sarp Pooja Services at Mahakaleshwar    Temple Ujjain. I quote verbatim “This special Kal Sarp Dosh Nivaran Puja is available with complete package,i.e. Puja at Mahakaleshwar Temple Ujjain,Kal Sarp Nivaran Yantra and silver Nag Nagin Jora for removal of this Dosh.Pl. send your request.”
  • Here is another sales pitch. “Package for Special Kal Sarp Puja  is available at Lodheshwar Mahadev (U.P) This special Kal Sarp Dosh Nivaran Puja is available with complete package,i.e. Puja at Lodheshwar Mahadev Temple near River Saryu at Barabanki Distt. of Uttar Pradesh. This is very old and famous Shiva Temple and also mentioned in Mahabharat. Kal Sarp Nivaran Yantra and silver Nag Nagin Jora for removal of this Dosh. This Puja is Videographed and Puja Prasadam is sent along with Puja VCD. Amount given below is all inclusive,i.e. Shipping etc. Pricing $200.00'
If all this is true then how and why did Dhirubhai Ambani rise from a middle class existence to become one of the top ten wealthiest persons in the world in a short span of about 25 years.? What’s more he is not alone, there is a long list of people with this supposedly malicious Yog who reached the top of their career.

I am fascinated! All this brouhaha for a Yog which does not even exist in Maha Rishi Parashar’ s epic work Brihat Parashar Hora Shastra? Who becomes a victim of intentional  fear mongering and who benefits from the expensive remedies.  I leave you to make your own judgment.

Saturn’s transit, Barack Obama and The US Part - II

Continuation of part I...
In the chart of USA, Saturn transits the eighth house from Moon where he gets only two Ashtak Varga points. His results will be decidedly unfavorable. Eighth house in a nation’s horoscope rules over death rate, deaths from epidemics and disease, underground wealth, medical research, national mourning, disease control and health services. Saturn’s transit is likely to act as a trigger in activating related incidents.
The last transit of Saturn through the eighth house of US horoscope took place from November 04, 1979 to October 08, 1982. Let us take a close look at some main events that happened during this period.
The Iran Hostage Crisis 1979-1981
On November 4, 1979, Iranian militants stormed the United States Embassy in Tehran and took approximately seventy Americans captive. This terrorist act triggered the most profound crisis of the Carter presidency and began a personal ordeal for Jimmy Carter and the American people that lasted 444 days. Operation Eagle Claw was mounted on April 26, 1980, President Carter ordered the use of six US transport planes and eight helicopters in an unsuccessful attempt to rescue American hostages being held in Iran. Two helicopters collided and were destroyed resulting in many deaths.
Three-Mile Island Nuclear Plant
Three Mile Island Nuclear Generating Station is a civilian nuclear power plant located on Three Mile Island in the Susquehanna River, in Londonderry Township, Dauphin County, south of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, United States. On March 29, 1979, the plant suffered a partial meltdown. According to the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission, the accident resulted in no deaths or injuries to plant workers or members of nearby communities a contention which is disputed by some academics, journalists and local residents. The plant came perilously close to becoming a major threat to life and environment.
The Jonestown Tragedy
914 people – all members of a cult - committed “revolutionary’ suicide by drinking cyanide laced punch.
Afghanistan involvement
On July 03, 1979 President carter took first step in getting US involved in Afghanistan to aid the freedom struggle of Mujahideen against Russian occupation. It was during this transit on March 30, 1981 that there was an assignation attempt on President Ronald Reagan.
US was also involved in the invasion of Granada. The El Salvador and Libyan crisis also happened in the same time frame.
It is thus clear that the last transit of Saturn through the eighth house in US horoscope brought about unhappy situations.
This time around, losses in Afghanistan will go north forcing Obama to lower the number of boots on the ground in that country. Policy of buying out warlords to reduce terrorism will prove counterproductive. It’s ultimate beneficiary will be the terror machine so tantalizing close and yet so far! An epidemic is likely to cause loss of life. Deaths due to terrorism are not ruled out either. September 11, 2001 happened when Saturn was aspecting the eighth house.
Saturn aspects the second house of national wealth from his placement in  the eighth - the financial crisis will linger on. Stock market and other indices of wealth remain lethargic. Use of public funds to bail out big business will prove a bad prescription. The current situation will really improve only when Saturn leaves Virgo after thirty months.
The houses energized by combined Jupiter and Saturn transit are the seventh and tenth. Seventh house deals with the foreign policy and the tenth with Statecraft. Both will witness energetic efforts which may not come to fruition. Governance and foreign policy will struggle against challenges thrown at it. Armed forces may be required in a place other than Afghanistan.
The president will be severely tested both as a man and as a leader. For the sake of peace let us pray that he emerges successful from this ordeal.

Saturn’s transit, President Barack Obama and The US. Part - I

According to Vedic Astrology calculations, Saturn moved to Virgo on 09.09.2009. Of the 12 houses that Saturn transits in his thirty year cycle, his passage through the fifth and the eighth house from the Moon is most vexing. In the fifth he causes financial losses and clouded judgment. In the eighth house he causes dishonor, losses, misfortunes, miseries, accidents and death

Interestingly Saturn is passing through the fifth house of President Obama and through the eighth house of the horoscope of United States. This has important consequences on the domestic and foreign policy of the US. The houses mentioned for this transit are taken from the Moon sign and we shall take it to be so in the rest of the article also.
In president Obama’ s chart, Saturn now begins to transit the fifth house from Moon, and creates a number of challenges when passing through this house. The first casualty is the emotional and intellectual state of the person. It leads to faulty planning which neither matures nor becomes successful. Mr. Obama will feel these results more potently as Saturn has no Ashtak Varga point in the fifth house from Moon in his chart. We can expect vacillation and mutations of ideas and policies. Domestic and foreign policy will be fuzzy, the idea being to make quick fixes. Long term planning will be put on the back burner. As Saturn advances into Virgo, the grasp of the president on public approval will become tenuous and he will try to regain it by promises and assurances he won’t be able to keep. This is not a reflection on his decency and honesty but helplessness in the face of inevitability.

The aspect of Saturn on the house of marriage creates challenges there and his married life passes through a rough time. This is also reinforced by the state of the seventh house of marriage in his birth chart. The first born of the president may experience indifferent health and emotionally difficult period.

From his placement in the 5th house, Saturn aspects the eleventh house of gain as well as the second house of wealth and so causes financial challenges. This is universal and the President will not escape unscathed. His personal fortunes may cause him worry.
Saturn transits through second, third and fourth Pada of Uttara Phalguni, all four Pada of Hasta and the first two Pada of Chitra Nakshatra (Constellation).

Uttara Phalguni is ruled by Sun, while Moon rules over Hasta and Mars over Chitra. None of these planets are friendly to Saturn. It will therefore be a bumpy ride.

The combined effect of Jupiter and Saturn falls on the sixth and ninth houses in Mr. Obama’ s birth chart. Both become energized and events connected to these are likely to occur.
There is a possibility of dissension with in the core group of supporters and  some changes might be made in the inner circle. Economy and foreign policy are not  likely to come under control. Saturn’s transit through the eighth house in US chart will interfere. Opposition to president’s policies will become more strident. Afghan policy will misfire. He should be extra careful about his safety between May 11, 2010 and October 31, 2011.

Between July 05 and November 05, 2010 there will be a distinct leaning towards charity and spiritual pursuits. He will start leaning towards his birth religion Islam.

Ashtak Varga: Is a system of mathematically assessing the strength of a planet by evaluating the support provide to it by the rest of the planets.

Amazing Ginger

Ginger is a very popular ingredient of Indian cooking and for a reason. It greatly helps in the digestion and assimilation of food. Two or three thin slices of ginger taken with a little rock salt and a few drops of lime juice before a major meal significantly increase the capacity of the digestive tract, and give freedom from flatulence and acid formation. Try this, and you won’t need those expensive medicines.
Ginger is a powerful antiemetic and doesn’t have any side effects. It also suppresses nausea and vomiting and is a potent remedy against morning sickness.
Ginger displays potent anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, and inhibits the production of immune-system components called cytokines. Tea made with ginger, black pepper, cinnamon and cardamom provides relief from arthritic pain.
In Ayurved ginger is treated as “Rasayan” meaning it enhances the medicinal effects of other medications.
Home remedies of ginger
· For cramps: Pour 1cup freshly boiled water over 1 teaspoon dried or 1 tablespoon fresh chopped ginger root. Cover and steep for 10 minutes, then strain. Drink one cup 3 or 4 times a day or after meals. This is effective for both gastrointestinal and menstrual cramps.
· Nausea: Nibble a few pieces of candied ginger with or without a few drops of lime juice and rock salt. Candied ginger works well too.
Combine 1/2 cup sugar and 1/4 cup maple syrup in a sauce pan and boil. Add 1/2 cup thinly sliced ginger and simmer until liquid has evaporated. Arrange the hot ginger pieces on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper and bake at 200 degrees until pieces are dry [about 11/2 hours
· Asthma: A teaspoon of fresh ginger juice mixed in a cup of fe
nugreek tea made with 1 tablespoon of fenugreek seeds and honey to taste acts as an excellent expectorant in cases of asthma.
· Bronchitis: Take a mixture of half a teaspoon each of powdered ginger, pepper and cloves three times daily with honey or as an infusion or tea.
· Impotence: Half a teaspoon of ginger juice to be taken with one half boiled egg and honey daily night for a month. It relieves impotence and premature ejaculation. Found to improve sperm count in many cases.
· Indigestion: Ginger has major role in treatment of indigestion, tastelessness, loss of appetite, flatulence, nausea, vomiting etc. A small piece of fresh ginger with salt/rock salt (Sendha Namak) sprinkled on it, if eaten prior to meal helps in digestion and assimilation of food.
Ginger is a classic tonic for the digestive tract and stimulates digestion. It also keeps the intestinal muscles toned. This action eases the transport of food through the digestive tract, This action may protect the stomach from the damaging effect of alcohol and non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (such as ibuprofen) and may help prevent ulcers.
· Allergies and asthma: Dried ginger can help in the management of allergies and asthma by counteracting the effect of the platelet-activating factor (PAP). PAP initiates inflammatory processes in allergy and asthma.
Ginger is also seen to selectively destroy the ovarian cancer cells due to its anti-inflammatory effect. Ovarian cancer is often detected very late due to absence of symptoms till the later stages. Regular consumption of ginger could well be the best prevention against this type of cancer.
Ginger can and needs to be a part of daily cooking. One can use it finely chopped or as a paste to flavor almost all dishes.

Time is it cyclical or linear, A Fresh Look At The Indian Yug System – Part IV

Continued from Part 3.....

From this point onward the Sun began to move towards the Vishnu Nabhi or grand center and the human intellect slowly started to develop. During the 1100 years of the ascending Kali Yug there were frequent wars all over the world and man’s cruelty and brutality knew no end. This period ended in 1599 AD.

At the end of the Kali Yug the hundred year period of Yug Sandhi came into effect to usher in the Dwapar Yug. Slowly the human intellect began to develop and we took the first few hesitant steps towards the understanding of electric current and magnetism. In 1600 AD William Gilbert studied the magnetic forces and observed the presence of electricity in all living beings. A little later Kepler discovered the laws of astronomy and the first Telescope was invented by Galileo. In 1621 Drebbel of Holland produced the first microscope. In 1670 Newton laid down the laws of gravitation and a little later in 1700 AD Thomas Savary used the steam power to lift water from the mines for the first time. In 1720 Stephen Grey discovered the action of electricity on human body. These discoveries and inventions came rapidly on the heals of one another. This became possible because the heavy burden of Kali Yuga was lifted from the minds of humanity and human intellect could begin to soar in the realm of pure thought.

The political structure too underwent a major change. People began respecting themselves and the all powerful medieval political system became less rigid and suffocating. In England democracy took firm roots and undermined the power of the king. Concept of liberty, equality and fraternity gained ground in France and the united states of America won its independence. The war torn Europe at long last saw some peace.

The rising Dwapar gave a huge impetus to the utilization of fine energies like electricity and magnetism. Electric motors combining the two forms of energy came into common use. Mankind learned to harness these energies though their real nature still eludes us.
In 1899 the two hundred year period of Dwapar Sandhi came to an end and the two thousand years long Dwapar Yuga began. This coming period will give us a real understanding of electricity and magnetism. As Dwapar advances, communication will become increasingly widespread and technologies will keep emerging that will simplify this process.

The mistake
According to this new theory, the Hindu almanacs do not show correctly the present Dwapar Yuga. The astronomers and astrologers who calculate the ephemeris maintain that the duration of Kali Yuga is 432000 years of which only 5103 years have passed till 2003, leaving 426897 years still remaining. Fortunately this is not true.

The reason for this mistake can be traced back to the reign of Raja Parikshit who lived around 700 BC. This was immediately after the completion of the last descending Dwapar Yuga. At that time emperor Yudhishthir noticing the approaching dark Kali Yug, relinquished his throne to his grandson Raja Parikshit and retired to the Himalayas. All the learned and wise men of his court migrated along with him and so there was no one left who could understand the principle of correctly calculating the age of the Yugas.

After the completion of the 2400 years of the then current Dwapar Yug, no one wanted to - and dared to - announce the end of Dwapar and the beginning of the coming Kali Yug.
This wrong method of calculation in two steps went like this:

First mistake
The first year of Kali Yug was numbered 2401 along with the age of the now ended Dwapar Yug. In AD 499 when the 1200 years of the length of the true kali Yug were complete, the age of Kali Yug was given as 2400+1200 = 3600 years.

And the second

As the Sun began to move towards the Vishnu Nabhi or grand center the intellectual power of man began to rise. The mistake in the almanacs thus came to the notice of the Pundits living at that time. They found that the ancient Rishis had fixed the duration of the kali Yuga at only 1200 years. They could however make out only the mistake and not the reason for it. They interpreted that the 1200 years of the real age of Kali were not solar years but so many Daiva years. Each Daiva year was supposed to contain 12 Daiva months and each Daiva month was supposed to contain 30 Daiva days. Further each Daiva Day was taken to be equal to one solar year of our earth.

The simple mathematical calculation went like this.
1200 (Age of Kali Yug) X 12 (Daiva months) X 30 (Daiva days) = 432000 (Daiva Days)
Since each Daiva day equals one solar year, therefore total length of Kali Yuga is 432000 years.

The ephemeris shows that the autumnal equinox now to be almost 23.85º from the first degree of Aries. This shows through a simple calculation that 1705 years have passed since the time that the equinox began to recede from the first degrees of Aries.
Deducting 1200 years (The age of Kali Yug) from 1705 we get a figure of 505 years to show the present year of our world’s entry into the Dwapar Yug.
The present year is thus 505 Dwapar.

As time passes this view mentioned above will gain ground and replace the old one which gives hugely inflated number of years for each Yug.

Resonance of this view
The only other people who kept meticulous track of time like us were Mayan of South America. They were no strangers to our forefathers. Mayans have been mentioned twice in our epics. Once in Ramayan and the second time in Mahabharat. In both instances they are depicted as master builders and technologically advanced race. Their calendar is very similar to ours and corresponds to our Yug system.

Calculations from Mahabharat

Scholars from across the world came together, for the first time, in an attempt to establish the 'Date of Kurukshetra War based on astronomical data.' Undoubtedly, it was a comprehensive presentation of information in a discussion group, held on January 5 and 6, 2003 at the Mythic Society, Bangalore.

Scholars analyzed the astrological information present in Mahabharat and their estimates varied from 2067 BC to 1478 BC. This is roughly in accordance with the Dwapar period given by the revised theory.

I feel that we should be open to new ideas when dealing with ancient Indian history. It has been misrepresented and misinterpreted due to many reasons and needs a fresh look.

Time, Is It Cyclical or linear - A fresh look at Indian Yug System Part 3

Bismillah Khan Shehnai

Bismillah Khan (shehnai) complete file.mp3

Shehnai is a double reed musical instrument from India. It has a sound that is uniquely suited to happy occasions. Marriages take place in the backdrop of Shehnai music.
It is believed to have its origins in Kashmir valley where a similar instrument called Band-i-Pather is still in use. According to another view it is an improved version of Pungi or Been - a wind instrument used by snake charmers.
It resembles the Nadswaram of Carnatic music of south India.
In other legends, the Shehnai is named after 'Sheh' (breath) and 'Nai' (flute). Shehnai is usually played in traditional North Indian Marriages and is associated with the Bride leaving her parental house for her husband’ s house.
Ustad Bismillah Khan was the foremost exponent of Shehnai and brought it from relative obscurity to world stage. Here is an excellent piece from his repertoire. Enjoy this morsel from India.

Time, is it cyclic or linear - A fresh Look at Indian Yug system Part - II

Yuga system

The Indian concept of time is cyclical in nature. All systems, ideas and events have a beginning a mid point and an end. Nothing is everlasting in the visible universe that surrounds us. The human intellect is limited in its scope and often assumes that a smoothly or chaotically functioning system will keep on doing so for ever. We take for granted that growth or decay will proceed in a straight line for all times to come. In reality, nature has no straight lines. Night and day, growth and decay of animal and plant species is a natural part of life. Companies and corporations, kings and their kingdoms all appear on the world stage, flourish for a while, then die. This is the eternal truth.

The Rishis being one with the universe knew the reality of time. They knew it was unreal and had validity only in the three dimensional world. They also knew that under its influence everything will go through crests and troughs, life and death. The essence of this Vedic insight was reintroduced to the world in 1894 by Gyan Avatar Swami Sri Yukteswar ji. His concise but ground breaking book, The Holy Science explains in detail the creation and sustenance of this universe.

The following is a summary of his teachings about the Yuga system. We all know that our solar system has Sun at its center and the earth and the rest of the planets move around it. Sun itself is a dual star and revolves around another star. According to the Vedic philosophy, this dual system of stars orbits around a region in space called Vishnu Nabhi.

This region is the seat of creative intelligence. When Sun reaches closest to the Vishnu Nabhi, the Dharma (mental virtue) is at its peak and humans are close to God. They understand the creative principals which create this universe and make life on earth and elsewhere in the universe possible. When Sun reaches a point farthest from Vishnu Nabhi, Dharma is at its lowest ebb and humans lose all their understanding of the creative principals. We understand nothing higher than the grossest material creation.

The autumnal equinox is the pointer to the position of the Sun in relation to the Vishnu Nabhi. When autumnal equinox falls in Aries, sun is closest to it. When autumnal equinox falls in Libra, the Sun is farthest from it.

It takes twelve thousand years for the Sun to travel from the closest to the farthest point from Vishnu Nabhi.. At the end of this period The Sun swings around and again begins to advance towards the seat of creative intelligence. Each of these two periods of twelve thousand years is called a Daiva Yug.

When the Sun is moving away from Vishnu Nabhi, the Daiva Yug is known as descending Yug. Conversely when the Sun is moving closer to the grand center, the period is called ascending Daiva Yuga.

Each Daiva Yug brings about a complete change in our external world as well as in our thinking process. In twenty-four thousand years the Sun completes one ascending and one descending Daiva Yug. The growth and decay of Dharma is a slow and gradual process and is divided into four different and distinct stages in a period of twelve thousand years.

As mentioned above the Sun takes twenty four thousand years to complete one orbit around Vishnu Nabhi or grand center. 1/20th portion of this period or twelve hundred years is called Kali Yug. Dharma during this period is only a quarter developed. The human intellect can not understand anything beyond the simple process of living like eating, sleeping and procreating. This is called Kali Yug and has a duration of 1200 years

The period of 2400 years during which the Sun passes through the 2/20th portion of twenty four thousand years is called Dwapar Yug. Dharma at this point is in its second stage of development. It is only half complete. Humans can understand the electricities and their properties which are the creating principals of the external world.

The period of thirty six hundred years during which the Sun passes through the 3/20th portion of its orbit is called Treta Yug. Dharma at this stage is three quarters developed. This enables us to understand the divine magnetism which is the source of all electricities and electrical forces on which creation is dependent for existence.

The period of forty eight hundred years during which the Sun passes through the 4/20th portion of its orbit is called Satya Yug. At this stage the development of Dharma is complete and we can understand all principals of creation including their creator - God.

Time, is it Cyclical or Linear – A fresh look at Indian Yug system

The primer

In Sanskrit, the language of ancient India, time and death are synonymous and called Kaal. If we examine this closely, we see that it is not a coincidence. Time indeed means decay and death. Everything decays with time and dies once its life span is over.

History abounds with civilizations and cultures which were once mighty and powerful and are today only a pale shadow of their former glory. They flourished, reached the pinnacle of their glory, and then slowly died.

In India many thousands of years ago some very remarkable and exceptional men reached a level of self realization which enabled them to understand the mystery of creation and the laws which govern and sustain it. These men were known as Rishis. These were the men to whom all the knowledge that we humans needed or would ever need was revealed as the Vedas. In their higher state of consciousness, these ascended masters could intuitively see the devastating effect of time on humans and their achievements and knew that unless steps were taken to safeguards it, the knowledge that they had would be lost over a period of time.

Vedas are called Shruti. It means something heard. The knowledge was revealed as the spoken word and was committed to memory by those receiving it. Written records can fall into wrong hands so the first step was to pass it on from generation to generation as memorized word. The easiest way to commit something to memory is by developing it into a rhyme or ditty. The sum total of knowledge was thus converted to thousands of verses and rhymes. These rhymes were called Richa and Sootra.

The language and selection of words of these Richas is such that each one can be interpreted in a number of ways. Generally every important Richa can have as many as six meanings. A person with gross intelligence will get only the literal meaning which is often unimportant. An ascended master on the other hand will be able to explain the real, ( intellectual and spiritual) meaning. It is for this reason that most English translations of Sanskrit works appear to be dull and meaningless.

This had to be done as some portions of this knowledge were meant for only those who had reached the appropriate state of maturity and enlightenment.

The information was thus handed down from generation to successive generation. People of exceptional mental caliber were chosen to remember Richas and Sootra. In this way the ascended masters negated the negative impact of time on available knowledge. It is because of this that Indian civilization and Vedic philosophy have emerged unscathed across a gaping chasm of time lasting twenty four thousand years at the very least.

Depending upon their spiritual and intellectual caliber, some people could remember and reproduce all four Vedas, some three, two or one respectively. They were known as Chaturvedis, Trivedis, Dwivedis and Vedis. Their descendents are still known by these names and enjoy a high status in Indian society.

To make the less sensitive information available to masses, Upanishads and Bhashyas (commentary) were written.

For people with somewhat lower mental caliber Upanishads were further simplified into Puran. Two epics Ramayana and Maha-Bharat were penned by the Rishis and these condense the wisdom of the Vedas into simple, easy to understand stories and parables.
It is from this most ancient and remarkable civilization that we get the Yug system.
